Valley Garden Club
Wasilla, Alaska
Gardening is our passion
VALLEY GARDEN CLUB ~ Where friends of all ages, skills, and interests meet, socialize and learn.
Typically, the first Tuesday of each month, 40 to 60 men, women, and special guest speakers meet to learn something new, brush-up on the old, and exchange tidbits after the meeting while savoring a hot lunch.
Our August 1st meeting will be held at the Hoskins Building on the Fairgrounds in Palmer at 10:30. Please come and join us!
Action begins at 10:30 a.m. First Baptist Church of Wasilla on the corner of Leatherleaf Loop and Bogard Road. Enter the main driveway, then go left to the back of the building where handicap access is located.
Enjoy the potluck lunch, a delightful variety and display of members' fare, while trading information about tools and their care, good buys on gardening supplies, and gardening topics. Prospective members are always welcome.
The primary focus of VGC, Alaska's largest garden club, is education while promoting the art of gardening and the study of floriculture and horticulture. The Club also cooperates with other agencies in furthering the interest of conservation, civic beauty, and roadside beautification.
Our club members enjoy sharing tips frequently unique to our northern, cooler climate. When a gardener is successful, the information is worth sharing. No one likes failure, but the information can be very useful.
The garden club members range from novice to master gardeners; experience of many gardeners learned and shared is invaluable.
Any questions? Contact us by email; we will try and find the answer for you. If you have a gardening tip, experience or question to share, please feel free to contact us and we'll add your information to our gardening page.
Thank you for visiting our site. Please enjoy roaming our pages. Happy Gardening!
